Bridget “Bridie” (Kelly) Carew of Hyde Park passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at age 95. A homemaker, she was born in County Roscommon, Ireland and lived in Hyde Park most of her life. The beloved wife of the late Michael John Carew, originally from County Galway, Bridie was the loving mother of Mary T. Smith, Josephine A. “Joann” Carew, both of Hyde Park and Michael F. Carew and his wife Terry of Quincy; dear grandmother of Katie Carew of Quincy and Chrissy Smith of Hyde Park; beloved sister of Kathleen Kilduff of Ireland and cousin of Margaret Murphy of Cotuit. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The daughter of the late Patrick and Bridget (Flynn) Kelly, Bridie was predeceased by her siblings, Margaret, Patrick, Lawrence, Mary Flynn, Josephine Flynn, Elizabeth Finnegan, Sean and Agnes, all of Ireland and Michael of Readville.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday, April 10 at 11:00am at Most Precious Blood Church 37 Maple St. Hyde Park. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00pm at Laughlin-Nichols & Pennacchio Funeral Home 34 Oak St. [Doorman parking] Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
