Catherine T. “Kay” Donald of Houghs Neck passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at age 87 surrounded by her loving family. Originally from South Boston, she worked for 13 years for the White Fuel Company in the cafeteria and moved to Quincy in 1955. While a student at So. Boston High School, she was voted “Personality Kid”. She was an avid ice skater and enjoyed music and dancing.

The daughter of the late William and Nora O’Neil, Kay was the wife of the late George R. Donald, the beloved companion of the late Gordon S. “Joe” Devine; loving mother of Robert W. Donald and his wife Regina of Pawtucket, RI, Paul F. Donald and his wife Joyce of Quincy, Jeffrey S. Donald and his wife Helen of Stoughton and Brian G. Donald and his wife Mary Beth of Weymouth; dear grandmother of Melissa McNeil and her fiancé Jay, Jillian Coen and her husband Dave, Jacqueline Athanasiou and her husband Demetri, Thomas Donald and Matthew Donald; great-grandmother of Shaelyn, Dylan, Emma and Isaac.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Wednesday, May 18 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. On Thursday there will be Funeral Service at 10:00AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial is at Hills Farms Cemetery, Hudson, NH.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Kay’s memory may be made to Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care Inpatient Unit, 597 Randolph Ave. Milton, MA 02186.
