Christine Alessandro, age 57, of Quincy passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. A graduate of Eastern Nazarene College, summa cum laude, she worked for over 25 years at National Grid. Loved by all who connected with her, Christine was the devoted mother of Nicole Fitzgerald and her husband William of Braintree; loving grandmother of William “Fitzie” and Patrick Fitzgerald; dear sister of Marie Ricci and her husband Robert of Quincy. She was pre-deceased by her beloved mother Elsie Alessandro and her brother Frank Alessandro and is also survived by her nieces, Natasha Ricci and Christina Alessandro and nephew, Nicholas Ricci, as well as a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, September 18 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Thursday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. John the Baptist Church 44 School St. Quincy. Cremation will follow.
