Just found out about Dan’s passing today by goggling his name, may he Rest In Peace. I had the pleasure of helping Dan at the TMI in the late nineties, he was a great man and I have a lot of found memories of my time there with him and his family. Just thinking about it makes me laugh... hard work but great times. David and Dana I send you my condolences, hope you and your families are doing well.

Sadly, I just found out about the passing of Dan. I first met him over 30 years ago. I spent at least a week and sometime 2 weeks with him at the Truro Inn many, many summers. Very accommodating and always made me and my family feel like he was our own Dad. He made sure to have room for us when I was married on Corn Hill beach in 2011. During the middle of summer, he fit us all in. A great man with a great sense of humor. And we loved him. Always will. So sorry to hear you won't be down for breakfast, Dan. Rest well.

Dana, David and family - Very sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. He was a caring guy, very old school, and I appreciate that more than ever. I worked for Dan at C. Healy and sometimes during weekends at the motor inn. I remember well Dan's habit of re-using old lumber and nails he found on the floor. I can still see him driving off with a load of used commodes clinking in the back of his pickup; that otherwise would have ended up at the landfill. He was just that kind of guy. It was comical at the time, but I get it now. Dan represents a generation when guys knew how to work cause they had to and they didn't complain. I remember him talking often about his wife, who I never met, and about his boys. He loved his family. And though he always like to kid around with me, I knew he cared for me too. It was just the type of guy he was. He'll be missed.

David and Carolyn, Dana and Linda and all of Danny’s family, I am saddened to learn of Danny’s passing, but at the same time I cant help but have a smile at his memory. I first met Danny in Memorial Day weekend of 1982, and what a grand adventure of coming to the Cape and the TMI that weekend inaugurated. For many years to come I would look forward to visiting and spending time with Danny sitting in the office, or the Ghetto or at a picnic table, listening to his stories and endless jokes. He was kind and engaging to a very young man, who was neither of long acquaintance or from his family. He was gracious, thoughtful and clearly enjoyed life. My thoughts are with all of his loved ones. Sincerely, Eric Vautour
