Obituaries

Daniel Thomas Kelley of Quincy passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at age 59. Born in Dorchester where he was raised and educated, he was a Vietnam Veteran of the US Army and was in the Reserves until 1978. A member of the Harley Davidson Club of Bridgewater, Dan worked as a carpenter for many years and had attended ITT Tech.

The beloved son of Francis X. Kelley of Plymouth and the late Betty (LaForest) Kelley, and step-son of Louise Carella of Plymouth, Dan was the loving father of Shawn Peachey and Shawn Kelley, dear brother of Michael Kelley of Goodwin, NC, Charlene DiBella of Hanson, Mary Brennan of Norwalk, CT, Timothy Kelley of Richland, WA, Laura Kelley of Rockland and John Kelley of Plymouth, and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 21 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Friday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. John the Baptist Church 44 School St Quincy. Burial with Military Honors will be at the MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:30pm.
