Debra J. (McDonough) Williams of Quincy peacefully passed away at South Shore Hospital surrounded by family on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at age 69. Raised and educated in Dorchester and Braintree, Debbie graduated from Braintree High and lived in Quincy for 35 years. The beloved mother of Amy J. Murphy of Braintree and Joseph F. Williams III of Mechanicville, VA, she was the loving “Nana Debs” as she was affectionately known to her grandchildren Emma Bosse, Joseph Bosse and Abby Williams; dear sister of Diane Callahan of Laconia, NH, Maureen Robinson of Port Richie, FL, Kerry McDonough of Brockton, Loretta Muse of Meredith, NH, Janice Prutch of Pueblo, CO and the late John McDonough and Michael McDonough; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Debbie always looked forward to her sisters’ week in October when they would get together and just hang out and enjoy their traditional day trips to the Christmas Tree Shops, Cape Cod and New Hampshire. Debbie did not have much, but she also never asked for anything. She will lovingly be remembered for her kind heart and generous heart and her nonjudgmental soul. She will be dearly missed by all those who had the opportunity to know her.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours with Covid restrictions in place on Thursday, December 10 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center.
