Obituaries

Dolores M. (Curry) Street of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester and New Jersey, passed away on June 11, 2011 at age 76. Born in Hoboken, NJ where she was raised and educated, she worked at Children’s Hospital in Boston as the lead main frame computer operator. The Queen Mother of her Red Hat Ladies group, she was also a member of the Lucky Strike Bowling League in Dorchester.

The beloved wife of the late George L. Street, Dolores was the loving mother of William J. Brightman of Jersey City, NJ, Georgene L. MacMaster and her husband Thomas of Bridgewater, MA, George L. Street III of Union Beach, NJ and the late Shawn Street; dear grandmother of Tommy, Heather, Courtney, Adam and Brittany and great grandmother of Ava and Mari; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 14 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Wednesday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. John the Baptist Church 44 School St. Quincy. Burial will be on Thursday at Fairview Cemetery in Guttenberg, NJ.
