McSherry, Dolores A. (Laurie) Formerly of Hopedale, MA, passed away on Wednesday November 9, 2022, at the age of 86. Born in Balbriggan Co. Dublin, Ireland, emigrated to the states as a young lady in her early twenties. She had a long career as a much sought-after hairdresser in the city of Quincy and, later, as a metro-west school bus driver, where she was much cherished and remembered by many students and their parents over the years.
Beloved wife and preceded in death by her dear husband Joseph G. McSherry. Survived by her brother Thomas in Ireland as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews. Stepmother of James M. McSherry and his wife Linda of Sharon, Nancy A. Melvin and her husband Matthew of Norwell, Mary T. Beal and her husband Tom of Townsend, preceded in death by Daniel J. McSherry, and step grandmother to Katie, Jeffrey, Matthew, Alyssa, Brian and Anna.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home, located at 74 Elm St. Quincy on December 8, 2022, at 10:30am.
