Donald G. Carey of Quincy passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015 at South Shore Hospital. Born in Cambridge on June 24, 1948, he was a lifetime Quincy resident and was recently a patient at Quincy Rehab. & Nursing Center on McGrath Hwy. A friend of Bill W., Don worked for many years at the Quincy Car Wash. Son of the late James C. and Margaret V. Carey, he was the sister of Alice L. Carey of Falmouth, Maryellen Hevner of Marlborough and the late Margaret A. Lytle of No. Providence and John G. Carey of WA; uncle of Thomas B. Hevner of Lincoln, RI, James Hevner of Lowell and Karen A. Keese of Clinton and is survived by many good friends. Donald was a person known for his generous spirit, kindness to others and love of life.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at 1:00PM on Saturday, February 28 at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center.
