Obituaries

Donald P. “Waco” Laukkanen of Quincy passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at age 53. A Vietnam Veteran US Army, he was born in Quincy and lived here all his life. A computer technician for First Level Technology, he loved working on web sites and rebuilding computers in his spare time. The beloved son of the late Luke and Doris (Johnson) Laukkanen, he is survived by his two sons, John Paul of Quincy and Jacob of Walpole, his sisters, Karen E. Aldredge of VT, Helen Geary and Sarah MacPherson, both of Quincy and his brother William Laukkanen of Quincy. Waco is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews.

There will be a Funeral Service conducted at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center on Wednesday, December 23 at 11:00am. Family and friends are invited. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Mount Wollaston Cemetery.
