Obituaries

Dorothy M. Ross of Dorchester passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at age 69. A homemaker, she was a lifelong Boston resident and enjoyed artistic pastimes. The beloved mother of Joseph Ross of Quincy, Dorothy was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Cordero) Ross, the stepdaughter of Mary Ross of the South End, loving sister of Kathleen Phillips of Braintree, Maria Ross of Medford, and William and Charles Ross, both of the South End; dear grandmother of Anthony, Jaclyn and Dominic; aunt of Erik Phillips, Christina Littler, Hector Ross and Billy Ross; and is also survived by several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Sunday, January 31 from 2:00 to 5:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. On Monday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. John the Baptist Church 44 School St. Quincy. Burial is at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
