Obituaries

Earl Peaslee Morse of Quincy passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at age 94. Born in Bath Maine, he graduated from North Quincy High School and Northeastern University, did graduate work there and at MIT. Earl worked as a mechanical engineer for ITech in Burlington and Ultrasonic in Cambridge and then for 13 years at the MA Bureau of State Buildings. A licensed pilot, he built and flew his own airplane at Hanson Airport and was a member of the Experimental Aviation Assoc.,Quincy Yacht Club and Gull Point Yacht Club where he enjoyed sailing.

The beloved husband of the late Phyllis G. (Ellis) Morse, Earl was the loving father of Jean Morse Jones of Hingham, Joan Drelles of Hillsborough, NJ, Earl G. Morse of Quincy, Phyllis Kurz of Hebron, CT and Elizabeth Witowski of Portland, ME; dear brother of Frank Morse of Peabody and the late Ralph Morse; and is also survived by 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 29 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Saturday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00AM at Bethany Congregational Church 18 Spear St. Quincy. Burial will be at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
