Eileen Theresa (O’Leary) Trahan of Houghs Neck, Quincy passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at age 87. A homemaker, she was raised and educated in Somerville and lived in Quincy since 17975. She was a communicant of Most Blessed Sacrament Church where she was a member of the Ladies Sodality and enjoyed socializing with other parishioners.

The beloved wife of the late Robert A. Trahan, Eileen was the loving mother of Robert Trahan and his wife Karen of Somerville, Mary Trahan and Eileen A. Trahan, both of Quincy, Martin Trahan and his wife Nora of Burlington and Ann Keenan and her husband Paul of Manchester, NH; dear grandmother of Amy and her husband James, Robert and his wife Natalie, Melissa, Brian, Daniel, Matthew, Katharine and Tiffany; loving sister of Rev. Gerald O’Leary, Marie Dundon and her late husband Thomas, Ann Kelley and her husband Frederick and the late Daniel O’Leary.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, June 17 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Tuesday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at Holy Trinity Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church 1015 Sea St. Quincy. Burial is at St Joseph’s Cemetery, W. Roxbury.

Donations in Eileen memory may be made the Discalced Carmelite Nuns, to whom she was devoted, at 61 Mt. Pleasant Ave. Roxbury, MA 02119.
