Eleanor Frances “Ellie” Pimental, of Quincy passed away at Quincy Medical Center on Monday, July 6, 2009 at age 76. Born in Dorchester, she lived in Quincy all of her life and was a graduate of Quincy High. Ellie worked as a secretary for State Street Bank and after retiring she continued as a secretary for Howard Johnson Co. and Mass. Bonding Insurance in Boston. A member of the Ladies’ Sodality at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, she enjoyed traveling and trips to Foxwoods.

She was the beloved sister of Agnes Kenney and her husband James of Quincy, Mary Hagerty and her late husband John J. of Pleasanton, CA, and the late John Pimental and was the loving aunt of Robert Kenney of Pembroke, Daniel Kenney of Quincy, John Hegarty of Livermore, CA, Michael Hegarty of Pacific Grove, CA, Mark Hegarty and Ann O’Neil, both of Pleasanton, CA, Patrick Hegarty of Reddington, CA and the late James P. Kenney III.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 12 at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center from 4:00 to 8:00pm. Family and friends are invited. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Monday at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am at Holy Trinity Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Taunton.
