Obituaries

Elena Marie (Sterling) Patrizi of Quincy passed away on Monday, February 7, 2011 at age 51. Born in Great Falls, Montana, she grew up in Randolph and was a graduate of Randolph High School. After serving in the US Army, she attended Aquinas College and worked as a medical assistant. She enjoyed arts and crafts in her spare time.

The beloved wife of Michael J. Patrizi, Elena was the loving mother of Kimberly Patrizi of Abington and Katelyn Patrizi of Braintree, devoted grandmother of Jayden Pina of Braintree; dear daughter of Elena Bernal of Randolph and the late Robert O. Sterling, beloved sister of Robert O. Sterling, Jr. of Brockton, Abby Sterling of Norton and Jen Mercurio of Weymouth. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Graciela Desaldana of Randolph and her nieces, Anne Hall Varney of Abington and Angela Mercurio of Weymouth.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 11 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Saturday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:15am at St. Joseph’s Church, 550 Washington St. Quincy. Burial with Military Honors will be at Pine Hill Cemetery.
