Elinor M. (Curtin) Savage of Brockton, formerly of Quincy, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, March 10, 2014 at age 78. Born in Boston, where she was raised, she graduated from St. Gregory’s High School. She worked as a supervisor for MetLife Insurance, but her main focus in life was her family, especially the grandchildren.

The beloved wife of John Crosby Savage, Elinor was the loving mother of John M. Savage and his wife Arlene of Weymouth, Mary Beth Donnelly and her husband Michael of Brockton and Chris C. Savage and his wife Laura of Braintree; devoted “Nannie” of Brittany, Kristyne, Meghan, Nicole, Andrew, Christopher and Matthew; daughter of the late William Curtin Ret. Capt. QFD and Gertrude (Crowley) Curtin; dear sister of the late Miriam Little, Terese Little, William Curtin and Robert Curtin Ret. Capt. QFD; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 13 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Friday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 10:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM at St. Mary’s Church 115 Crescent St. W. Quincy. Burial is in Pine Hill Cemetery.
