Obituaries

Ellen M. (McEachern) Crump, 72, of Quincy, and formerly of Brookline, passed away on August 6, 2016. Beloved wife of Paul L. Crump. Loving mother of Paul Crump Jr. and his wife Margaret of Quincy, Jay Crump and his wife Cynthia of Quincy, and the late Jeffrey Crump and her daughter in law Sarah Crump of Carver. Daughter of the late James McEachern and Mary (Rice) McEachern. Sister to the late Richard Rice. Cherished grandmother to John, Maura, James, Matthew, Michael, Patrick, Anna, Ellie, and Luke. Aunt to Richard Rice of Scituate.

Ellen was very involved with St. Mary’s School, Mothers Guild, and was a longtime CCD teacher at St. Mary’s. She is a retired traffic supervisor for the city of Quincy, and a longtime employee of The Home Depot.

She touched the hearts of many and will be truly missed.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 10th from 4-8:00 PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home, 74 Elm St, Quincy. On Thursday a gathering will be held at the funeral home at 9:30Am followed by a Funeral Mass  at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 215 Crescent St, W. Quincy. Graveside services will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
