Emily “Emie” (Moraitis) Foschia of Quincy passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at age 93. Born in New York City where she was raised and educated, Emily lived in Quincy for most of her life, spending 23 years in Plymouth. A homemaker, she was married for 64 years to her beloved husband, the late Jacob H. “Jake” Foschia. She was the loving mother of Katherine J. von Wendt of Quincy and Jacqualine Foschia and her late partner Sara Brewer of Sedona, AZ; sister of James Moraitis of FL and the late Bessie D’Ambrisi of FL, and is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Emily’s Life on Saturday, March 12 at 2:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations in Emily’s memory be made to the Residents DTS Council Fund at Quincy Adams Health Care Center 211 Franklin St. Quincy MA 02169. The staff there provided loving care for Emily which was deeply appreciated by her family.
