Obituaries

Eric W. Bogle of Quincy passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at age 60. He was raised and educated in Quincy and also lived in Weymouth for many years. A Vietnam Veteran from the 82nd Airborne and a recipient of the Purple Heart, he was a graduate of Quincy High where he played football, UMass where he earned a BA in History and MA School of Law, Eric worked for 35 years for Raytheon in Andover, most recently as a Labor Relations Manager. In his spare time he was active in Community Theater on the South Shore and was an avid Patriots fan.

The beloved father of Timothy A. Bogle of Weymouth, Eric was the son of the late William Bogle and the late Gloria (Coradi) Matthis and James Matthis, loving brother of Diane F. Delmonte Walker of Quincy, uncle of Steven Delmonte of Ft. Myers, FL, former husband of Patricia Sullivan of Weymouth and is also survived by several cousins and many close friends.

Visiting hours will be held at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center on Sunday, January 24 from 3:00 to 7:00pm. Family and friends are invited. On Monday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. Joseph’s Church, Quincy Point. Burial with Military Honors will be at MA National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:00pm.
