Frances M. “Frannie” (Driscoll) Phipps of Quincy passed away on Friday, August 17, 2012 at age 71. Born in Boston where she was raised and educated, she lived in Milton until 2005 when she moved to her daughter Tina’s home in Quincy. Before retiring, Frannie worked as a hostess at John Scott House and enjoyed travelling with her late husband to his Marine Corps reunions, loved going to Foxwoods and Twin Rivers, game shows and scratch tickets.

The beloved wife of the late Paul C. Phipps, Frannie was the loving mother of Maureen Ackerman and her husband John of Plymouth, Paul Phipps and his wife Karen of Nairobi, Kenya, Linda Phipps and her partner Gill Sullivan of Quincy and Tina Keefe and her husband Jack of Quincy; dear sister of Millie Narus of Tewksbury, Margie Goyette of Halifax and the late John, Joey, Connie, Dickie, William, Helen, Mary, Catherine, and Pat; and is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 22 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Thursday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM at St. Agatha’s Church 432 Adams St Milton. Burial is at Milton Cemetery.
