Frances S. “Sally” (Ames)  Burge passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at age 82. Born in Lowell where she was raised and educated, she raised her family in Dorchester and lived in Quincy for 25 years. She worked as a waitress at Ted’s in Boston and several other establishments on the South Shore. The daughter of the late Francis and Geraldine (Reno) Ames, Sally was the loving mother of Donna McCarthy and her husband Denis, Diane Cull and her husband Walter, all of Marshfield, Robert Burge and his wife Catherine, Mark Burge and his wife Coleen Hurley, all of Quincy, Tammy Guest and her husband Matthew of Weymouth and Karen Burge and Michelle Burge of Quincy; also survived by her grandchildren, April, Bobby, Denis, Sarah, Nicole, Taylor, Patrick and Justin; and her great grandson, Matthew.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, September 5 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Saturday there will be a Funeral Service at the funeral home at 10:00AM. Burial is private.
