Francis B. “Fran” Krause, Jr., Hingham Police Captain, Retired, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012 at age 81. A lifelong Hingham resident, he served in the US Army during the Korean War, then became a Hingham Police Officer, working up to the rank of Captain before retiring in 1982. With his beloved wife Shirley M. (German) Krause, Fran owned and operated Bill’s Outboard on Rt. 3A since 1967. He was the loving father of Francis B. Krause III and his wife Pat of Weymouth, Paul Krause and his wife Kathleen of Hingham, Alan Krause and his wife Melanie of Plymouth and Donna Doyle and her husband Richard of Weymouth; dear grandfather of Gregory, Meghan, Patrick, Michael and Brian; and great-grandfather of Brianna, Zachary, Delaney and Colbi-Joy.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 18 at 11:30AM at Immaculate Conception Church 1119 Commercial St. E. Weymouth. Family and friends are invited to attend. Cremation will follow. Visiting hours are omitted.
