Fred J. Antoon, 90, of Quincy passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. A lifelong Quincy resident, he lived for many years on Baxter Ave in the Point. A WWII Navy Veteran of the Pacific Theater, Fred worked as a refrigeration engineer at the company he co-founded, Refrigeration Engineering and Contracting Co. in Medford.
The beloved husband of the late Shirley M. (King) Antoon for 58 years, he was the loving father of Cindy O’Connell and her husband David of So. Portland, ME, Edmund M. Antoon and his wife Angela of Weymouth and Fred Anthony Antoon of Hudson, OH; and dear grandfather of Ryan, Jeff and Edmund, Jr.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Saturday, March 31 from 1:00 to 4:00PM immediately followed by a Celebration of Fred’s Life at 4:00PM, at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Cremation will follow.
Donations in Fred’s memory may be made to The Pat Roche Hospice Home 86 Turkey Hill Rd. Hingham, MA 02043.
