George P. “Pat” Candora of Quincy passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at age 86. A WWII Navy veteran, Pat was born in Boston, where he was raised and educated and was the founder and owner of the Elliott Sewing Machine Co. in So. Boston since 1957.
The beloved husband of the late Marie “Grace” (Pucillo) Candora, Pat was the loving brother of Peter Candora and his wife Mary of So. Weymouth and Mary Mulvey of W. Roxbury and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 5 from 2:00 to 6:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Monday there will be a Funeral Service held at the funeral home at 11:00am. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Boston.
