Gerald D. “Jerry” Gardiner QPD (Ret.) passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at age 64. A lifelong Quincy resident he was a graduate of Thayer Academy and worked as a Quincy Police Officer until his retirement. The beloved husband of Dyanne C. (Campbell) Gardiner, Jerry was the loving father of Timothy D. Gardiner and his wife Christine Kurpeski of Watertown; beloved son of the late Kenneth and Mary Gardiner; dear brother of Paul F. Gardiner of Milton, Robert C. Gardiner of Quincy and the late Kenneth D. Gardiner and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Sunday, December 6 from 2:00 to 6:00pPM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. On Monday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 11:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon at St. Ann’s Church 757 Hancock St. Wollaston. Burial is at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
