Gerald F. Frazier, Sr. MSP Ret. of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2014 at age 80.  Born in Quincy where he was raised and educated, he lived in Weymouth most of his life. After serving in the Navy, Gerald became a Quincy police officer in 1966, then in 1967 an MDC Mounted Police Officer serving at the Blue Hills Division. He later served at Hingham District Court as the Prosecuting Officer retiring in 1992. An avid fisherman, he also enjoyed dancing. Gerald was a good friend to all who knew him and was a great Dad to his children, Gerald F. Frazier, Jr. and his wife Melanie of WA, Kimberly Smith and her husband Daniel of Rockland, Violet Frazier and her boyfriend, Justin Taylor of Hull, Pam McPartland and her husband Jimmy of TX and Karen Kelly of RI. He is also survived by his partner for 30 years, Elizabeth Beckwith of Weymouth, 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 4 nephews and 3 nieces.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, October 21 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Wednesday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 7:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00AM at Holy Family Church  403 Union St, Rockland. Burial is at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
