Obituaries

Gerald P. DeAngelis of Quincy passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at age 70. Born in Boston where he was raised and educated, he had worked as a truck driver for Old Colony Laundry before retiring. Gerry is the beloved father of Gerald P. “Jay” DeAngelis, Roseanne McLaughlin of Nashua, NH and Faith DeAngelis of Littleton, NH; dear brother of Clemetina Brill and her husband Robert of Quincy, Domenic DeAngelis and his wife Ellie of Middleboro, Joseph DeAngelis of Quincy, John DeAngelis and his wife Mary of Weymouth, Antoinette DeCoste of Sarasota, FL and the late Genevieve Smith; brother-in-law of Robert Smith of Westwood; and is also survived by 8 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and his former wife Rosanne.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, Sept. 9 from4:00 to 8:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Saturday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 10:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:15am at Holy Trinity Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church 1017 Sea St. Quincy. Cremation will follow.
