Gina (Peroni) Volpini of Quincy passed away on Monday, April 25, 2011 at age 89. Born in Fano, Italy where she was raised and educated, she lived in Quincy for 55 years. A seamstress, she worked for Jordan Marsh and Priscilla’s.
The beloved wife of the late Luigi “Louie” Volpini, Gina was the loving mother of Roberto Volpini and his wifeThoren (Stensrud) Volpini, both of Quincy and dear grandmother of Gina Schultheiss and her husband Nathan of MD, Sandra Volpini of Quincy and Andrea Volpini of SC. She is also survived by a brother and sister in Italy.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 28 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Friday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 8:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00am at Saint Mary’s Church 115 Crescent St. W. Quincy. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery.
