Obituaries

Grace M. (Cullen) Kenney of West Quincy passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at age 93. Born in Quincy, she was a lifelong resident. A graduate of Fisher College, she worked at Quincy City Hall during WWII and taught CCD at St. Mary’s Church, where she was baptized and married.

The beloved wife of the late Bernard J. Kenney, Sr. to whom she was married for 65 years, Grace was the loving mother of Bernard J. Kenney, Jr. and his wife Carolyn M. of Hanover and Marion, Stephen F. Kenney and John J. Kenney both of Quincy; dear sister of the late John Cullen; and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Grace’s family wants to thank Sally Greaney, her wonderful home care giver.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, April 13 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Saturday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 10:30am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30am at St. Mary’s Church 115 Crescent St. W. Quincy. Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
