Irene G. (Kolson) Keefe-Berry of Quincy passed away at home on Friday, March 5, 2010 at age 70. She was surrounded by her loved ones through her life and at her passing. Born in Quincy where she was raised and educated, she lived in Concord NH for 20 years before returning to Quincy 7 years ago. Irene worked as a nurse’s aide at Concord State Hospital, Quincy Hospital and Crestview Nursing Home.

The beloved wife of the late Robert P. Berry, she was the loving mother of Karen Keefe, John “Jack” Keefe, NCSO and his wife Tina, Deborah Keefe and Jean Kirschner, all of Quincy, dear sister of Robert Kolson of Braintree, Peter Kolson of Hull, and Kris Diack of Braintree and is also survived by her beloved 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 9 from 4:000 to 8:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Wednesday there will be a Funeral Service at the funeral home at 11:00am. Cremation will follow.
