John E. Vallier, Sr. of Marshfield, formerly of Quincy, entered into eternal rest surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 3, 2013. He lived most of his life in West Quincy before moving to Marshfield five years ago. A member of the first graduating class in 1953 of Archbishop Williams High School, John was veteran of the US Navy Reserve and a sales rep for Diversey Corp. before retiring. He was a member of BBPA Bottlers, Beverage and Package Assoc., the Knights of Columbus and the Kiwanis of Marshfield.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Anne Marie (MacEachern) Vallier of Marshfield, his three children, Jane Louwerenburg and her husband Binno of Venlo, The Netherlands, Susan Skawinski and her husband Todd of Bradenton, FL and John Vallier and his wife Lisa of Marshfield. He is the cherished “Poppy” of Mark and Eva Louwerenburg, Gregory and Jessica Hirsch and Brooke and Alexis Vallier; son of the late Frank W. (Ret QPD) and Catherine (Ward) Vallier; dear brother of Mary Graham of Wareham, the late Frank W. Vallier, Jr. and the late Joseph E. Vallier. He also leaves many cherished family members and friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, April 8 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Tuesday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 10:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM at St. Mary’s Church 115 Crescent St. W. Quincy. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery.
