John P. Behan (Jack) of Weymouth passed away peacefully on April 13, 2022 surrounded by friends and family, at the age of 88. Raised and educated in Quincy, Jack was a veteran of the US Army. He worked as a Master Electrician for Local 103 IBEW for many years. John was a longtime member of the South Shore Divers, and was an avid boater and camper.
Beloved father of John P. Behan Jr., of Weymouth, Kathleen Behan-Roche and her husband Robbie of Quincy; loving grandfather of John P. Behan III of Weymouth, Maura and Timothy Adams of Hanson; dear brother of Robert J. Behan and his wife Gerry of Novato,CA; Jack is also survived by many nieces and nephews and his beloved granddog Smokey.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours Friday, April 22, from 9:00AM-11:00AM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St., Quincy Center. At 11:00AM there will be a service in the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. Jack’s Celebration of Life will begin at 1PM at BayPointe Waterfront Restaurant, Quincy.
