John Stanley “Stan” McCarty of Weymouth passed away peacefully July 26,2013 at age 89. Born in Quincy he was raised and educated in PA and CA graduating from Colgate University, in NY. A WWII Veteran US Army, Stan worked as an engineer for Pneumatic Scale in Quincy for 30 years.
The son of the late John V. and Rachel (Vergobbi) McCarty, Stan was the loving brother of Mary Elaine Clarke of Quincy, Marjorie Keelan of Canton and the late Virginia Campion and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
There will be a visiting hour on Tuesday, July 30 starting at 9:00AM immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00AM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. Burial with Military Honors is at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery,
