Obituaries

Joseph C. “Joey” Kilrow of Attleboro passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at age 50. Born and raised in Dorchester, he lived in Quincy for many years and for the past year in Attleboro. Joey worked counseling those struggling to overcome alcoholism and drug addiction.

The beloved son of Frances Kilrow of Quincy and the late Edmund R. Kilrow, Joey was the loving brother of Edmund R. Kilrow, Jr of Weymouth and his former wife Gale of Saugus, Francina Kilrow of Quincy and Paul Kilrow and his wife Denise of Weymouth; dear uncle of Vincent Kilrow and his wife Kerri and Erica Puglisi and her husband Anthony, all of Saugus, Emily, Leah and Paul Kilrow, Jr., all of Weymouth; great-uncle of Gia Kilrow of Saugus and is also survived by his longtime friends, Anne Crowley of Walpole and John Lowrey of Rockland.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday. July 18 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Tuesday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. John the Baptist Church 44 School St. Quincy. Cremation will follow.
