Julieta Maria Galicia of Quincy passed away at Quincy Medical Center on Friday, January 7, 2011 at age 83. Born in Guatemala where she was raised and educated, she lived in Quincy for many years and until recently applied her talents for creating beautiful icing flowers for wedding cakes.

The loving mother of Juliette M. Galicia Pico and her husband Javier Pico, Julieta is also survived by her sister Edna de Garcia, her niece and nephews whom she loved as dearly as her own children: Juan Manuel Garcia, Francisco Garcia, Patricia Garcia and Sergio Garcia and also leaves many grand nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, January 10 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Tuesday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. John the Baptist Church 44 School St. Quincy. Burial is at Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Quincy.
