June E. (MacLean) Raymond, 84,lifelong resident of Quincy, passed suddenly Saturday August 20,2011.She was the wife of George T. Raymond for 63 years. She was born raised and educated all in Quincy. She and her husband were married on January 18, 1948, and settled in Quincy and raised her family. She was very active with the Girl Scouts of America of West Quincy, volunteering her services for over 30 years. June also was very involved with the St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Quincy.

June’s number one priority was her family, with whom she enjoyed spending much of her time. Besides her husband she is survived by; 4 children; Michael J. and his wife Laura of Hanover, Richard and his wife Lisa of Braintree, Jean F., wife of the late Richard Foye Jr. of Quincy, and Carol A. and her spouse Chris Plant of Holbrook. June also leaves 5 brothers Ronald of Bridgewater, Robert of Holbrook, Alan of Kingston, James of Hanover and Clifford of Ca.; also 3 sisters Janice Mari of Abington, Marilyn Burgess of Avon, and Donna MacLean of Abington; also leaves 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. June was predeceased by a sister Virginia Osterman.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday August 24, from 4p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral will begin at 9a.m. Thursday from the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home, 74 Elm St, Quincy, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Crescent St., in Quincy. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
