Karen P. Garland of Quincy passed away at Mass General Hospital Cancer Center on Saturday, January 2, 2010 st age 56. A homemaker, she was born in Quincy and lived here most of her life, briefly living also in Florida and Colorado. The beloved daughter of Grace (Merrit) Carlson of Quincy and the late Walter Carlson, Karen was the loving mother of Christopher, Jesse and Debbie Garland, all of Quincy, step-mother of Lynn Garland of Quincy, and beloved sister of Richard Carlson, Signe Kelcourse, Donna Uvanitte and Judy Livingston, all of Quincy, Florence Williams of Dorchester, Carol Bruce of Rockand, Patricia Pardo and Walter Carlson, both of Falmouth, William Carlson of FL and Al Stoddard of Abington.

A graveside service will be held at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery on Wednesday, January 13 at 11:00am. Family and friends are invited. Visiting hours are omitted.
