Kevin E. Keane, Jr. of Quincy passed away on Wednesday, February, 20, 2013, his 40th birthday. A lifelong Quincy resident , he was on the Quincy High football team, worked for the City, was a member of the Laborer’s Union and enjoyed being involved in city politics.. An avid fisherman and great Patriots fan, he was also a member of the Braintree Rod & Gun Club and volunteered for the Weymouth Food Pantry and Father Bill’s Place.

The beloved son of Kevin E. and Mary H. (Sylva) Keane of Quincy, Kevin was the dear brother of Julie-Ann Keane of Quincy; grandson of the late Mary and Patrick Keane and Robert and Helen Sylva; loving nephew of Donna and Paul Wilkie , Roberta Sylva and Maureen Crowe, all of Quincy, Meredith and James Power of VA, Robert Sylva and Stephen Sylva, both of Bourne, Edward Sylva of Plymouth, John and Barbara Sylva of Raynham, John Keane of Brighton, James and Cindy Keane of Easton and the late Charles Sylva and James and Phyllis Keane. He is also survived by his special friend, Maureen Wymands of Quincy, many cousins and his beloved dogs, Lilly and Kayla.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, February 24 from 2:00 to 6:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 64 Elm St. Quincy center. Family and friends are invited. On Monday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. Mary’s Church 115 Crescent St. W. Quincy. Burial is at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
