Lenny was indeed one of a kind. Loud, hilarious, and unfiltered, he had a big personality that seemed to mesh well with mine. We both liked to fix stuff, work hard, and have fun, and I feel fortunate to have been able to do all of those things alongside Lenny at some point. Lenny loved to collect things, but he was far from a hoarder. He was always willing to give up his find if someone showed an interest or a need for it — I still have the army surplus jacket he gave me (my "Lenny jacket" as my friends and I call it), the midget hammer he found on R6, and the beautiful antique padlock he got at a yard sale. I was shocked to hear of Lenny's passing, and I've spent the last few days thinking about him and all the time I spent with him and Craig in Truro. He'll be missed, but I'm glad he's at peace.

May our two children and Len's family find strength and courage at this most difficult time. May Lenny rest in peace.

I have been among many people in my day; philosophers, agnostics, pessimists, and believers. I have seen the mundane in the brilliant and the brilliant in the mundane. But in my entire life, I have met no one that could ever be equated to Lenny Pecce. His unflappable, nay, indestructible optimism in this bitter, gnashing world was infectious, and every time I spoke with him I felt that hope for a better world and a better day flow in my heart. I doubt that anyone else in my life could endure a hundredth of what Lenny endured, and emerge with a thousandth of his drive and happiness. Lenny often said that the most important thing in life was being on the right side of the grass, and to this day I hold this belief as close to my heart as any wisdom I have ever held. I hope that, as you remember Lenny and his way of life, to remember how much that sunlight, that time spent on the right side of the grass, meant to him, and what it should mean to all of us. And as we walk that green grass, I hope, from the bottom of my heart, that with every step you cherish that life as much as Lenny cherished his. I'll miss you, Lenny. I hope the grass is ten times as green wherever you are. In nomine Patri, et Filli, et Spiritus Sancti.

Lenny was truly ONE OF A KIND...a TRUE character with a BIG HEART and SOUL! His heart will no longer ache as he is with his Beloved family on the other side and surrounded by LIGHT and LOVE. God Bless his beautiful children, Craig and Dominique, whom he leaves behind and LOVED deeply. May they be able to heal and see what a beautiful heart he gave them and cherish the good times and forgive and forget the not so good times along with the idiosyncrasies. Lenny is at PEACE now and would LOVE the same for his children. Surrender...it would be the greatest gift you could give him and yourselves. He will smile upon you. Peace Be With his entire family. Mucho Amor! Beth

It was with shock and a heavy heart when I received the news of Lenny's passing. I spent many hours chatting over tea in Quincy with him and aunt Sue while he and Sue munched on freshly baked goods. He often spoke of his love of Truro and their tight knit but independent community. He made it his priority to encourage Aunt Sue to stay active and healthy while keeping a protective eye on her. Lenny was always busy with his hobby of collecting leather and sewing new useful leather items. Most often he would pull out old family photos pointing out the fun times he shared in Truro with friends and family members. When aunt Sue and I would return from exercise class, he would teasingly shout out "here comes Thelma & Louise, returning from their wild adventures". The house will not be the same without him. I will miss His high spirited sensitive nature (he could be very intense) as well his sweet and kind Italian ways. RIP Lenny! ????

So sorry to hear of Lenny's passing. I first met Lenny when I was hired by Alice and Danny DelGizza to be a chambermaid at TMI a long time ago. I had only seen Lenny sporadically since those days, but have fond memories. May God bless him with eternal rest. With sincere sympathy, Jean O'Brien Boback
