Lindo J. “Lindy” Infascelli, a lifelong Quincy resident, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015 at age 91. A decorated Navy Veteran of WWII, he served in the Pacific Theater and was in action at the Invasion of Palawan. Lindy was a graduate of Quincy Trade School, a career firefighter on the Quincy Fire Dept. and never forgot his brothers on the force after his retirement, making an effort to visit every day. A member of the Cyril P. Morrisette Post, he enjoyed woodworking and painting in his spare time.

The loving husband of Gunvor V. (Agven) Infascelli and the late Marjorie E. (Kennedy) Infascelli, Lindy was the beloved father of Richard J. Infascelli and his wife Elizabeth of Plymouth, David T. Infascelli and his wife Nancy of Plymouth, Lt. Steven M. Infascelli QFD and his wife Debra of Norwell, Ingela G. Murley and her husband Neil of Hingham and the late Kent G. Agven and Maylene C. Jesseman ; dear grandfather of Stephen, Karen, David, John, Matthew, Andrew, Christine, Aaron, Gretchen, Justin and Michael; great-grandfather of Corey, Breanna, Timothy, Lily, Myles, Tyler, James, and Elizabeth; brother of Mary O’Keefe and the late Cesare and Gino Infascelli and is also survived by many nieces and nephews and  by his dear friends Evelyn and Jack O’Brien and Richard and Lynn Reynolds.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 26 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Thursday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. John the Baptist Church 44 School St. Quincy. Burial with Military Honors is at Braintree Cemetery.
