Lorraine M. (LaForest) McQuinn of Quincy and Naples, FL, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at age 88. A lifelong Quincy resident, she lived in Florida for many years. She worked as a dietician for the Quincy Public Schools and as a home health aide and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.

The beloved wife of the late Francis G. “Lefty” McQuinn, Lorraine was the loving mother of Neil McQuinn and his partner Ann Perkins, George McQuinn and his wife Mariann, the late Gail M. Freel and her late husband James and the late Mark McQuinn, all of Quincy; dear grandmother of Melissa McKeen, Jacqueline Prejsnar, Michael Freel, Sarah Shaughnessy, James McQuinn and Brian McQuinn; great-grandmother of nine; longtime companion of the late Frank Sammartino; beloved sister of Barbara Garland of Naples, FL and Joanne Quigley of Norwell, the last of 12 siblings; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Wednesday, August 15th from 9:00 to 11:00AM, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00AM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Burial is at Pine Hill Cemetery.
