Louise M. (Maraggia) Mahoney formerly of Stoughton passed away at the Life Care Center of the South Shore in Scituate on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the age of 99. Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in Dorchester. She and her husband Lawrence raised their family in Stoughton and lived there for 37 years until his death in 1999 when she moved to Marshfield with her daughter Joan. A homemaker, Louise was devoted to her family.
The beloved mother of Lawrence J. Mahoney, Jr. and his wife Edith of Norwell and Joan Kroha and her husband Robert of Marshfield, she is survived by 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
There will a visiting hour on Friday, July 2 starting at 8:30am, at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am St. John the Baptist Church 44 School St. Quincy. Family and friends are invited. Burial is at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Boston.
