Madeline A. (Taylor) Fleming, age 92, of Quincy passed away peacefully in the house where she was born on Sunday, March 25, 2012. Raised and educated in Brookline, she was the youngest of 11 siblings. A Quincy resident for most of her life, she had worked for 20 years in the City Clerk’s Office at Quincy City Hall. Madeline, who always put her family first, loved to dance, travel and play Bingo and was a member of the Merry Shores Senior Citizens group

The beloved wife of the late James F. Fleming, she was the loving mother of James F. Fleming and daughter-in-law Kathleen of FL; Madeline A. Clarke and son-in-law Clyde of Quincy; Paul J. Fleming and daughter-in-law Leslie of Candia, NH; and Thomas W. Fleming and special companion Karen Vitolo of Pembroke; and is also survived by 3 grandsons, Sean, Brian and Jacob and 4 great-grandchildren, Isabella, Emmett, Emily and Abigail
.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 28 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Thursday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am at Holy Trinity Parish, Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Burial is at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
