Margaret N. (Nigro) Allen of E. Bridgewater passed away at age 71 on Monday, July 24, 2017 with her family at her side. Born in Quincy where she was raised and educated, she graduated from Quincy College and attended both Boston University and Emerson College. During her professional career, she worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA and EDS, retiring early to care for and raise her two beautiful granddaughters along with her husband Paul. Up until her passing, she was very actively involved in school, church, and community organizations such as the Girl Scouts, as a Leader, the school’s PTO, St. John’s Parish and Youth Ministry, CCD, as a teacher and EB Hope. Margaret loved the arts. An accomplished organist, she was a dance instructor at Arthur Murray’s Dance Studio, won numerous awards for acting and directing productions with the Quincy Jr. Women’s Club. Over the past 10 years she appeared as an extra in numerous major motion pictures.

The beloved wife of Paul J. Allen, Margaret was the devoted mother of Lori A. Molkenthin and her husband Brian W. of Newton, NJ, and Paul A. Allen of E. Bridgewater; loving grandmother of Ella A. Molkenthin, Gabriel A. Molkenthin, Alaina P. Allen and Rylie J. Allen; dear sister of Patricia Harvey of Weymouth, Mary McLaughlin of Hanson and the late Frank Paul Nigro; and is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins and her beloved dogs, Rusty and Willow.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Friday, July 28 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at a date to be announced.
