Marie L. (O’Halloran)Goldie of Quincy, age 92, passed away peacefully at her home in Houghs Neck with her family by her side on May 16, 2013. Born in Dorchester where she was raised and educated, she has lived in Quincy the past 60 years. A homemaker, she worked for many years at the former Bargain Center in Quincy. The beloved wife of the late Alexander Goldie she was the loving mother of Robert F. Goldie and his wife Arlene of Raynham, James A Goldie and his wife Nancy of Plymouth Mary A. Wirtz of Weymouth, Marilyn L. O’Brien, Elizabeth A. and Eileen M. Goldie all of Quincy; dear grandmother of Tricia Burke, Diana Goldie, Robert Kane, Mark O’Brien, Erica and Maria Wirtz, Lauren and Thomas Goldie and the late Michael Kane; great grandmother of Bryan, Emily, Jackie, Alex, Brianna, Kaity, Adam, John, and Mike; Sister of the late Eileen Dedian, Phyllis Kunz, Frank Kunz, and Elizabeth Maher; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews

Visiting hours will be held on Monday May 20th from 4 to 8 PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm Street, Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Tuesday there will be a gathering at the Funeral Home at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10AM at Holy Trinity Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church 44 Darrow Street, Quincy Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, West Quincy
