Obituaries

Marie P. LoCicero of Quincy passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 at age 81. A lifelong Quincy resident, she received her BS degree in education from Bridgewater State Teachers College in 1957 and her Master’s Degree in 1967. She continued her education throughout her life, earning an Associate’s Degree from Massasoit as a senior citizen. Marie worked as an elementary school teacher in the Weymouth Public Schools before retiring in 1994. A communicant of St. Mary’s Church in W. Quincy, she was a member of the Ladies Sodality, taught CCD and was active in church activities, as well as many volunteer organizations, including the Retired Teachers Association of MA and the American Legion Auxiliary, Cyril P. Morrisette Post. The daughter of the late Salvatore and Adriana (Russo) LoCicero, she was the sister of the late Vincent, Francesco and Angelo LoCicero and is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Thursday, December 14 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home74 Elm St. Quincy Center. On Friday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM at St. Mary’s Church 115 Crescent St. W. Quincy. Burial is at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
