Obituaries

Marjorie A. (Hawco) Pettinelli of Quincy passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at age 90. A lifelong Quincy resident, she worked at the Quincy High School cafeteria for more than 25 years, retiring in 1998 and was a member of the St. Joseph’s Church Ladies Sodality. The beloved wife of the late Edward “Jack” Pettinelli, Marjorie was the loving mother of  Timothy Pettinelli and his wife Kathy of Pembroke, Frances Picard and her husband Charlie of Rockland, Marjorie Kay and her husband Rob, Anna Lapsley and her husband Bill, all of Plymouth, Giselda Poirier and her husband Gerry of Roswell, GA and Jacqueline Pettinelli of Quincy; dear sister of the late Phillip Hawco, Loretta Grant and Patricia Hosang; and is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 29 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Saturday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. Joseph’s Church 550 Washington St. Quincy. Burial is at Mt Wollaston Cemetery.
