Mary G. (Walsh) Walker of Quincy passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at age 67. Born in England, she was raised and educated in South Boston and lived in Quincy most of her life. She worked as a driver for the Ride and also as a crossing guard. The beloved wife of David C. Walker, Mary was the loving mother of Kelly Walker and Patricia M. Walker, both of Quincy; dear grandmother of Jarod Michael Walker and Ava M. Walker; beloved sister of Barbara Byron of Kingston, John Walsh of Hull, Michael Walsh of So. Boston, Steven Walsh of Brockton, Mark Walsh of SC and Martin Walsh of Las Vegas; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 16 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Friday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 10:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30AM at St. John’s Church 44 School St. Quincy. Cremation will follow.
