Mary Louisa Caloia of Quincy passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at age 73. A lifelong Quincy resident, she was a graduate of Lemuel Shattuck and St. Elizabeth Nursing Schools and received an Associate’s Degree in Science from Quincy Jr. College. She worked as a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Carney Hospital and Quincy City Hospital. After retiring, she worked as an associate at Stop & Shop. The daughter of the late Joseph and Ida Caloia, Mary was the beloved sister of Rosalie Corbo of So. Weymouth and the late Basil Caloia; sister-in-law of Dorick Corbo and the late Marie Caloia; loving aunt of James Corbo and his wife Kathleen of Braintree, Teresa Corbo of So. Boston, Catherine Caloia of Hull, David Caloia of Andover, Christine Caloia of Weymouth and JoAnn Caloia of N. Attleboro; and is also survived by her companion Thomas Myers of Weymouth and several great-nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at 11:00AM on Friday, March 3 at Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Quincy.
