Obituaries

Michael A. Panarelli of Quincy passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at age 89. A lifelong Quincy resident, he was a foreman in the assembly dept. of Pneumatic Scale where he worked for 31 years. A proud veteran of WWII US Navy, he had great esteem for his parents who emigrated from Italy and was a wonderful father and grandfather.

The beloved husband of the late Catherine (Scavo) Panarelli, Michael was the loving father of Michael J. Panarelli and his wife Molly Thompson of North Dighton; devoted grandfather of Michelle Voitlein and her husband Bill of Cohassett and Danielle Panarelli of Fall River; great-grandfather of Mia, Bianca, Christopher and William; dear brother of Nicholas Panarelli, Matteo Panarelli and Josephine Tutela, all of Quincy, Gerald Panarelli of Braintree and the late Peter Panarelli; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, August 17 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Saturday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. John the Baptist Church 44 School St. Quincy. Burial with Military Honors is at Pine Hill Cemetery.
